Weekly Dev & Playtest Update

Last night’s playtest went great — always nice when things mostly work and the few that don’t are easy to fix! Elspeth’s Emporium needed a few tweaks, mainly wall adjustments and more prominent overhead tiles so the layout reads better in play. The GM-Assist system also revealed a small quirk — players moving tokens around were spamming the chat — so I’ve added a “fire once” flag to keep things tidy.

Story-wise, a few event sequences needed updated Speak features to reflect what’s actually happening in-game (we don’t do “story,” but you know how it is when things start evolving). I’ve also added elevation tracking to GM-Assist, so ladder climbs now update height automatically.

Most of my week’s been spent on the Beginnings in the Wildwood module — maps, NPCs, and items are coming together beautifully. Once I finish the GM-Assist journal entries, it’ll be ready for the membership list. All modules now use the modules.api system and ActiveGM checks for a smoother, more polished setup.
